It was joy and celebration as the Wife of IKa South Local Government Chairman, Mrs. Praise Efechukwu Ehiwario paid visit to some Primary Healthcare Centers in IKa South local government Area on May 28, 2025. Amongst the centers visited were; Aliheme and Agbor-obi.
During her visit, Mrs. Ahiwario said “in the spirit this year’s Children’s Day celebration i decided to extend the love to this place (Health Centers) to also show love to pregnant women and the sick people because I know that babies in the womb also need care and love, as well as the sick.”
She prayed for safe delivery of the pregnant women and quick recovery of the sick.
The Chairman, ably represented by his Vice Mrs. Glory Amamosa Onyeagbor in her speech advised parents to always take care of their children saying that, they are Future Leaders. According to her, among them are Governors, Lawyers, Doctors, Presidents and so on.
She advised parents and guidance to give their Children/Wards quality Education for brighter future.
At Aliheme Primary Healthcare Center, the Nurse in charge Mrs. Loveth while welcoming the First Lady and her team said that Children under five years and pregnant women have free medical treatment, the solar system they have is supplying light 24hrs and the bore hole is in good working condition.
She pleaded that urgent attention be given to the entrance of the health center road for easy access to the health center.
At Agbor Obi, the Nurse in charge, Mrs, Loveth Gbegbe appreciated the Wife of the Chairman for the show of love pregnant woman and babies.
she outlined the challenges at center to include ; flooding in the compound, no security light outside and understaffing.
The Vice Chairman assured that she would relate the matter to the Chairman, for prompt attention to be given to their needs.
The Executive Secretary Mrs. Momoh Uche Ogwu appreciated the first Lady and her team, praying God to bless the Administration of Hon. Jerry Ehiwario.
The first Lady therefore presented gifts to Pregnant women and children ( both in cash and in kind).
In the team included; the Vice Chairman of IKa South Mrs. Glory Amamosa Onyeagbor, HOD Community Development, Information, Youths and Sports, Mr. Clement Efedi, Mrs. Esther Kenyinebi Enuani ( Information Officer) Comr. Ann Morka, Comr. Blessing (S.A on women Mobilization) and others.
