Gov. Oberovwori Pledges Security And Commitment To Corp Members In Delta State…… Declares Batch B, Stream 1 Orientation camp Closed.

The Delta State governor, Gov. Sheriff Oberovwori had charged the Corp members deployed to Delta State to remain committed to the development of the state through their quality contributions to the MORE agenda of the government. He gave this charge on Tuesday, August 19th, 2025, at the closing ceremony of batch B, stream 1 at the NYSC Orientation Camp Exercise at Issele-ukwu, the capital of Aniocha North L.G.A.

The Governor, ably represented by the commissioner of youth development, Hon.(Barr.) Harry ThankGod congratulated the Corp members for their good conduct, good display during the parade, discipline and positive response to camp activities.
Gov. Oberovwori assured the Corp members of their safety & security in the state.

He also admonished them to tolerate the culture and traditions of the areas of their places of primary assessment which may differ from their own culture and traditions.
Earlier, the state’s NYSC director, Mr. John Vandi Kwaghe appreciated the state governor, Rt.Hon Sheriff Francis Oberovwori for his sacrifices towards young Nigerians posted to Delta State for the three weeks camping orientation course.He urged the Corp members to use all they had learnt at the camp to impact positively in their places of primary assignment. The state’s director commended the Local Government Chairman, Hon.Emma Bazim Chinwe for his continuous hospitality and support towards the success of orientation exercises in the area. He appealed for serious security in the orientation camp to avoid vandalisation of properties and possible intrusions.

He noted that they had acquired a hundred palms for planting and pleaded with the governor and other distinguished guests to join them for the tree-planting exercise after the passing out parade.
At the ceremony, were the executive Governor, represented by Hon. Harry ThankGod, the executive chairman of Aniocha North L.G.A, represented by the Vice Chairman, Hon. Nneka Clara Dibia, H.R.M, Obi Nduka Ezeagwuna, the Obi of Issele-uku kingdom, represented by his Palace Chiefs , the NYSC South-South Director, the NYSC Governing Board, the Camp Commandant  and other dignitaries.
