
The Civil Defense Volunteers working under Oshimili South Local Government Area (LGA), erupted in jubilation as they demonstrated at the council upon hearing the news that the Executive Chairman, Hon. Chief Ezenyili Kelvin Obi (PhD), had approved the payment of their allowances owed since 2014.
The Volunteers, who had been patiently waiting for their payment for many years, were overjoyed by the news. They gathered at the council premises, singing and dancing in celebration of the Chairman’s approval.
One of the Volunteers, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said, “We are very happy today because our Chairman has finally approved our payment. We have been waiting for this moment for so long, and we are grateful to the Chairman for his kindness.”
Another Volunteer added, “This payment will go a long way in helping us to take care of our families and ourselves. We are very grateful to the Chairman and the council for their support.”

Ezenyili’s leadership has brought joy and relief to the volunteers, who can now look forward to a better future.
