
The Armed forces remembrance day emblem and appeal fund grand finale celebration was held in Oleh Headquarters of Isoko South local Government Area.
The Chairman of Isoko South local Government Area Comrade Warri Friday stated that National annual event brings into focus the supreme sacrifices made by our patriotic Nigerians who demonstrated the greatest loyalty and love for their fatherland
The Chairman also urged the people to rally round our living heros and heroins who fought gallantly in the battle field in order to ensure peace and unity for our country.
Comrade Warri Friday however, appeal to all and sundry to reciprocate the supreme sacrifices made by the fallen soldiers by supporting and co- operating with the government in its efforts to restore peace and stability which is the only sure route to full and enduring democracy for the Nation
The Chairman therefore, appealed to Nigerians to supportĀ Isoko South local government to lunch the emblem appeal fund to raise good funds for the Veteran.
Earlier in his address, the Legion chairman in Isoko South local government, Lt col, Agalabri Napoleon CNC said that the occasion calls for sober reflection and must remind everyone the debts owed the fallen heros who fought gallantly to restore peace in the country
In a short Sermon entitled ‘upholding the nation,’which text was taken from first Samuel Chapter 17 verse 45 to 47 and delivered by Ven. Isaiah Okegbe said the blood of the fallen heros that was shared for the Nation Nigeria to experience the peace we have today.
Highlight of the ceremony was the laying of wreaths by the council chairman,the Commander 181 Battalion, DPO Oleh Police Division ,Religious leader amongst others at the feet of the unknown soldier in Oleh,Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State.
